So here's what I learned today....
After a decade of post college education and training I am living off loans and scraping by (for now)
The US govt has made guidelines of how much a doc like myself should be paid for every visit
The largest insurance agency in Nevada pays less than half of this minimum and often just refuses to pay certain claims.
The CEO of this company made $105 million last year
And here is the kicker...
The public thinks all that money goes into the doctors pocket and that we are overpaid and that the insurance co is trying to help them...
Sorry...not feelin' the love today
OK I am far enough into the new year to have worn off the holiday buzz and can get down to business
My list of resolutions (a work in progress)
1 - To get in shape (drop 10 lbs)
2 - (related to 1) To complete a Triathalon
3 - To visit my family more
4 - To build my practice
5 - I dunno... I'll add a few more perhaps...
Imagine a store about the size of a large Wal-Mart. Two storys high. Now imagine it filled to the rim with hunting and fishing gear. Now plop it inside a casino in Vegas and you have the new Bass Pro Shops at the Silverton casino. It's quite a sight
So I got tired (no pun intended) of my mattress and went to buy a new one. After considerable examination I gots me a Tempur-Pedic mattress! Yeah the NASA one from Sweden. Tried it out last night and it was sweet!!!
